A SURVEY ON MULTI–TARGET DETECTION AND TRACKING IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS By Josna Jose and Dr.R.Vijayakumar

Abstract

As it moves through a sensor network target tracking has become an increasingly important application in Wireless Sensor Networks. Multi-Target tracking refers to the problem of jointly estimating the number of targets and their states from sensor data. In multi- target tracking the location of multiple targets has to be tracked simultaneously. Increases the network traffic by increasing the number of targets to be tracked and thus more complex energy minimization techniques and routing schemes are necessary to compensate for the network performance. Tracking mobile targets using sensor networks is a challenging task. In this paper, the focus is mainly driven over the survey of the different multi-target tracking techniques for Wireless Sensor Network.
